It was truly a big shock to realize lately, that a self acclaimed writer and political analyst who identified himself as Brasil Okoh was nothing but, a Libeler. This worn-out old man does nothing else to earn a living outside his inglorious chosen profession. His recent article on a Chieftain of the National Democratic Congress, NDC and the 2027 Senatorial Candidate of the party in Delta North, Delta State, Hon Utomi Nwanne was an eye-opener of who exactly Basil Okoh is and how he is using his pocket -sized knowledge to defame others.
Basil Okoh,in his defamatory write up said, “Utomi Nwanne registered in NDC and signed -up for the primary election to the Senate. His romance with the NDC ended at that point because of his previous history with the political group that formed the NDC in Delta North”.
Contrary to the write up of Basil Okoh, Utomi Nwanne is a fully registered member of the NDC, he is loyal and fully committed to the ideology of the party which is aimed at bringing good governance to Nigeria come 2027. Utomi has no loyalty or commitment to any other political group in Delta North except the NDC.
In the second paragraph of the shameful article of Basil Okoh he wrote: —–“Utomi Nwanne without a serious campaign effort won the election clearly. But at the Ika North East collation center in Owa-Oyibu, Nwanne was alleged to have sold his victory to his kinsman in PDP after a load of money changed hands.At the collation center, the figures were changed and the “Esau”, Utomi Nwanne left to enjoy the proceeds of the sale of his”birthright”* So, Utomi Nwanne and allegedly sold his victory to Victor Nwokolo and he took the money and fled to the United States of America”. The statement in this paragraph was a complete fallacy, flawed and deceptive. Utomi Nwanne was very serious in his 2023 House of Representatives election in Ika Federal Constituency. He led a robust campaign in all the Units and Wards in Ika Federal Constituency, an effort that gave him an overwhelming victory in the election even though it was later manipulated by the enemies of true democracy which was championed then by the PDP. The fraud in the Ika Federal Constituency House of Representatives election was heavily challenged in Court by Utomi Nwanne after Victor Nwokolo was declared the winner and later inaugurated as House of Representatives member. After the litigation was over, Utomi Nwanne released a press statement on how he rejected an offer of One Billion Naira, (#1,000,000,000) from the PDP. And how he refused to accept a kobo from Victor Nwokolo or any PDP leader. Utomi Nwanne is a refined and patriotic Nigerian who is yearning for a better Nigeria and will never be involved in any corrupt activity that will further destroy Nigeria. It’s unfortunate, that Basil Okoh who is almost seventy in age,can spread lies and also, feed on it. It baffles, to see an old man like Basil Okoh publishing lies, and deceiving the public, all because he wants food on his table.His actions are retrogressive, wicked and evil. According to a well-known biblical declaration found in the Book of Isaiah, specifically in Isaiah 48:22, “There is no peace for the wicked”. For writing and publishing lies against Utomi Nwanne, there shall be no peace for Basil Okoh and his cohorts.
To the keep records straight, Utomi Nwanne is in the Delta North Senatorial race to contribute positively and meaningfully to the development of the district. He has no political alignment or business with the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress as alleged by Basil Okoh. Utomi Nwanne is in Court to challenge the outcome of the Delta North Senatorial primary election which he won. Again, Utomi Nwanne is not disrupting the Senate bid of Victor Ochei rather it is Victor Ochei who is disrupting. Elections are not won through the backdoor, unfortunately, Ochei has chosen to use the backdoor for his Senate bid and his forerunner is the blatant liar known as, Basil Okoh.
Utomi Nwanne is a very behaved man, a patriotic Nigerian and lover of truth. He is in politics to contribute his quota to the development of Nigeria and not to malign any Nigerian. He is focused and prepared to achieve his goal not through the backdoor but, through proper and legitimate engagements with the people.
This rejoinder also serves as a medium to address a guy called Timothy Papa Okwazuegun, another political jobber like Basil Okoh who called Utomi Nwanne a number of times to drop the case against Victor Ochei. For refusing his request, they decided to become fools by spreading lies against Utomi Nwanne who cannot be deterred until justice prevails in the court of law.
For Ewere Okonta, who we thought was a clergyman, denigrated and belittled himself, by circulating such nonsense and malicious article from Basil Okoh for cheap handouts or crumbs.
We therefore,urged the good people of Anioma to trash the malicious article of Basil Okoh and remain supportive of the senatorial ambition of Utomi Nwanne as he is the best man to represent their interest at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly come 2027.
