Delta Decides

A political scientist and staunch supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Collins Nwaoboshi, has stated that Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), was overrated and lacked the support to win Delta State.

Speaking on the political landscape, Comrade Nwaoboshi emphasized that Delta State under the APC leadership has vastly performed beyond expectations, effectively neutralizing the opposition.

He noted that the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevweri has provided local government councils with crucial support, enabling them to deliver true local government autonomy.

According to Nwaoboshi, this backing has significantly boosted the economic viability of the councils and spurred grassroots development.

He added that visible progress at the local level has led to the political decimation of the NDC and other opposition parties in the state.

Shifting his focus to the legislative race, Nwaoboshi lauded the Oshimili North Local Government Chairman and APC House of Assembly candidate for Oshimili North Constituency, Hon. Innocent Esewezie.

He stated that Esewezie’s landmark projects—including the newly constructed cottage hospital and other vital infrastructure—have earned him massive grassroots support to coast him to victory come 2027

He urged the constituents to rally behind him.

Addressing the broader political opposition, Comrade Nwaoboshi dismissed other candidates specifically referencing Deacon Chris Iyovwaye whom he described as an outsider.

“We don’t know Deacon Chris. He was imported and is like spilled milk that cannot be gathered,” Nwaoboshi stated.
