AGBOR — The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ika South State Constituency seat, Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, has paid a condolence visit to Mrs. Nwama, the wife of the late Ika South Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nwama.
Mrs. Tony-Obuh visited the deceased’s family residence today to commiserate with Mrs. Nwama following the tragic road accident that claimed her husband’s life alongside his Ika North-East counterpart, Mr. Nnamdi Memeh.
Expressing her sympathies, Mrs. Tony-Obuh assured the grieving family that the people of Ika South share in their sorrow, praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“I am deeply saddened that Ika South has lost a distinguished technocrat and a noble personality to a road accident. My prayers are with the family during this painful time,” she stated.
Encouraging Mrs Nwama to seek spiritual comfort, Mrs. Tony-Obuh introduced her to the Holy Ghost School and emphasized the importance of building a close personal relationship with God, noting that divine solace is ultimate in times of trial.
Highlighting the tragic nature of the incident, the House of Assembly candidate also called on the Delta State Government to strengthen safety measures on State roads, describing enhanced road safety protocols as essential to preventing future casualties.
