ABUJA — The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for the Ethiope East House of Assembly, Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Eguriase Sule, has called on the Federal Government to expedite the rescue of primary school children kidnapped in Oyo State.

Speaking with journalists at her Abuja residence, Chief Mercy expressed deep concern that the school children, who were abducted in the Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, have still not been rescued.

She asserted that the prolonged captivity of the children was a clear sign of the government’s failure to fulfill its primary responsibility which is protecting lives and property.

Chief Mercy, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bemys Foundation and as a Diaspora Ambassador, emphasized that immediate, decisive action was needed from security agencies to bring the children home safely.

Turning her attention to politics, she urged Nigerians to utilize the power of their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to demand better governance.

She pointed to the “OKM Movement” as the definitive path forward for political redemption, particularly for her constituents.

“The OKM movement is the only veritable way to rescue the people of Ethiope East and Nigeria at large from deprivation and want,” Chief Mercy stated, urging voters to embrace the movement.

Remember this is not the first time the NNPP candidate has challenged the status quo, specifically making headlines when she criticized the “ghost agency” that was allegedly granted a 1.3 billion Naira budgetary allocation alongside office space at the Federal Secretariat.
