Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Mercy Eguriase Sule, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) House of Assembly candidate, has declared that she represents the joy God was bringing to the people of the Ethiope East Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

Chief Mercy made this statement during a recent media chat, noting that years of deprivation have left poverty widespread across Ethiope East.

She promised that, if elected, she would not only sponsor impactful bills but also actively attract tangible development to the constituency.

Highlighting her legislative priorities, Mrs. Eguriase Sule pointed to welfare policies for the elderly, such as Abia State’s aged persons law, as a model that Delta State ought to adopt.

She criticized the current administration for neglecting senior citizens due to selfish interests.

“The Old People Bill will be one of my top priorities,” she stated. “Our aged parents must begin to be taken care of.”

She further expressed concern that Delta State has failed to utilize available opportunities to elevate the poor.

In addition, she pledged to revisit and resuscitate all abandoned projects in the constituency.

Addressing security, the NNPP candidate noted that high poverty directly drives the rising crime rate, emphasizing that economic stimulation was essential to mitigate these security challenges.

She reassured constituents that her administration would remain strictly people-centered, with dedicated focus on supporting elderly parents and empowering the community.
