On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people whose lives you have shaped, I felicitate with you on the occasion of your birthday. Happy Birthday, Sir.
Chief, you are a leader in the truest sense of the word. As the former Governor of Delta State, you redefined what governance could look like in the Niger Delta. You gave us infrastructure where there was neglect. You gave us a voice where there was silence. You gave our people dignity, and you taught us that leadership must always be about service.
Beyond office, you have remained our compass. In seasons of uncertainty, your counsel has steadied many of us. In moments of doubt, your example has reminded us that courage and conviction still matter in public life. You have shown that true leadership is not about holding power, but about what you do with power for the people.
Sir, your story is one of resilience. You have faced trials that would have ended other careers, yet you emerged with your head high and your commitment to the people intact. That is why across Nigeria, and beyond, your name is spoken with respect. That is why leaders, young and old, still come to you for guidance. That is why we call you our National Leader.
On a personal note, you have been more than a leader to me. You have been a mentor, a father, and a covering. You taught me that politics without principles is empty, and that service without sacrifice is not service at all. For every lesson, every correction, and every opportunity you have given, I remain eternally grateful.
As you add another year today, my prayer is that God Almighty will continue to bless you with sound health, wisdom, strength, and long life. May your home be filled with joy. May your influence continue to shape the future of Delta State, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria. May the years ahead bring you even greater honor and peace.
