DELTA DECIDES

ASABA — Early indications from the contentious Delta North Senatorial District primary elections reveal that Senator Ned Nwoko has secured strong leads in several Local Government Areas (LGAs), including Ika North-East, Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East, and Ukwuani.

While candidates await the official declaration of results from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), reports obtained by this platform counter previous rumors regarding Nwoko’s performance, showing instead a dominant turnout in specific wards.

According to preliminary figures gathered from the field, Senator Nwoko secured substantial victories across multiple wards in Ika North-East:

Like in Ward 11 (Umunede): Senator Ned Nwoko secured 10,500 votes, Ward 13 (Ute-Ogbeje): 8,000 votes,Ward 8 (Ogbodo): 12,185 votes Akumazi: 7,200, Ward 14 (Otolokpo): 5,600 votes, Ward 12 (Mbiri): 1,500 votes

While the two major contestants claimed the winner, Findings indicate that apart from that there are parallel primary elections across Delta North, particularly within the Ika North-East axis, our reporter reliably learnt that in ward 9, Ute Okpu, there were massive support for Senator Ned Nwoko

This platform also learnt that in Ute Okpu where there was a viral Video that showed three persons stood for Senator Ned Nwoko and multiple Persons voted for Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, there were other venue where Ned Supporters compromising of the old APC voting for Ned Nwoko

The Ndokwa and Ukwuani axis reportedly maintained a unified front, throwing their full support behind Senator Nwoko.

Concurrently, conflicting reports have emerged claiming victories for Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa in rival factions.

The internal friction stems from a deep ideological divide between two distinct camps within the party structure which includes the Old Guard vs. The New Members

The Old Guard party members expressed feelings of marginalization, believing they were being systematically pushed out.

For this faction, figures like Senator Ned Nwoko, Barr. Chiedu Ebie, and the late Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu represented a vehicle to reclaim their political influence.

In the same manner, this newer influx of party members largely aligned themselves with the camp of Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.

Speaking to our reporter, party stakeholder Mr. James Isioma confirmed the internal dynamics. “The foundational members of the party voted overwhelmingly for Senator Ned Nwoko, while the newer elements rallied behind Senator Ifeanyi Okowa,” Isioma hinted.

As of the time of filing this report, the final, official determination of the rightful winner rests entirely on the upcoming declaration by the National Working Committee and the President
