The management and staff of DELTA DECIDES have commended the Nigerian Military for the successful rescue of the Orire schoolchildren who were kidnapped months ago.
Speaking through its coordinator, Mr. Darlington Okonma, the media organization noted that the federal government should not be content with merely increasing the salary of military personnel from ₦49,000 to ₦100,000.
Okonma emphasized that the Nigerian military must be adequately compensated to maintain high morale and effectively discharge their duties.

Okonma, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ika Chapel, reiterated that the risks soldiers take demand far better appreciation and funding from the state.
