AGBOR — The Ogwa Iregwa, making up the Ogbemudein community, has formally thrown its weight behind Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Ika South House of Assembly candidate, following a colorful consultative event held recently in Ogwa Iregwa.

The gathering, which drew prominent community leaders, was marked by high praise for Mrs. Tony-Obuh, describing her as a true daughter of the soil.

Attendees warmly highlighted her deep ancestral roots in the community, noting that her Great grandfather, Mr. Imudia, was highly revered and ranked number 11 on the historic list of local leaders.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Mrs. Tony-Obuh expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, describing herself as a true “daughter of Ogbemudein Community.”

She pledged to run an inclusive policy when elected, stating that her goal was to provide a “representation for all.”

“I am asking for your blessings, and I deeply appreciate the warmth, support, and prayers you have extended to me today,” Tony-Obuh said, emphasizing her commitment to an open-door policy.

Responding on behalf of the community, Mr. Chukwuma declared their unalloyed readiness to champion her candidacy, describing her political ambition as a collective mandate for the entire community.

Similarly, Mr. Simeon Imudia commended Mrs. Tony-Obuh for her unwavering commitment and readiness to serve.

He assured her that the entire Ogbemudein community stands firmly behind her, offering prayers for her victory at the upcoming polls.

Other notable dignitaries at the event, included Mr. Odion and Chief Iregwa, offering prayers for God’s protection and success.

They noted that her candidacy represents a unifying choice for all sons and daughters of the Agbor people.
