OWERRI, NIGERIA — Cubana Chief Priest, the South East Coordinator for the prominent “City Boys Movement,” has lost his bid for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to represent the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The socialite and businessman who President Bola Ahmed Tinubu eight million votes in the forth coming 2027 presidential election has lost the primary election to the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Candice Nwachukwu, during the party’s nationwide legislative primaries held today, May 16, 2026.
Cubana Chief Priest, a prominent nightlife entrepreneur and close associate of hospitality mogul Obi Cubana, has been a vocal and high-profile figure within the City Boys Movement, serving as its South East Director-General.
Despite his massive social media following and political mobilization efforts through the movement, party members ultimately favored the experience of the incumbent, Hon. Nwachukwu, to fly the party’s flag in the upcoming general elections.
