ABUJA — A prominent aspirant for the Ika Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Benedict Ehis Ewubor, has officially obtained his Expression of Interest Form under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
With this move, Ewubor is positioning himself to challenge the candidate anointed by the former Governor of Delta State, Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, for the highly contested seat.
Ewubor picked up the nomination form at the NDC National Secretariat in Abuja, describing the milestone as the beginning of a new era of quality representation and sustainable development for the people of Ika Nation.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the form, the aspirant noted that his campaign was fueled by a deep desire to give the constituency a stronger, more vibrant voice at the National Assembly.
He argued that the constituency has suffered from a lack of effective representation over the last sixteen years, stressing that the intention was to rewrite the narrative of Ika Federal Constituency come 2027
“To the glory and mercy of God, I have picked my Expression of Interest Form from the Nigeria Democratic Congress office in Abuja to represent the good and great people of Ika Federal Constituency,” Ewubor said.
“The journey toward better representation for my beloved Ika people has begun. I am here to change the narrative.”
He noted that he has positioned himself as the authentic choice for the people, promising to bridge the gap between the constituency and the federal government.
“This is the true voice of Ika Federal Constituency,” he added. “For the past sixteen years, the voice of the Ika people has not been effectively heard in the National Assembly.”
“I come as that true voice to represent our people and drive genuine development to our constituency.”
If elected in 2027, Ewubor assured his constituents of a steadfast commitment to Effective Legislation: Giving Ika Nation a strong, uncompromising voice in national politics.
