ASABA — The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate for the Ethiope East House of Assembly, Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Mercy Eguriase Sule JP, has alleged that a cabal within the Aso Rock Presidential Villa was complicit in the “ghost agency” scandal.

Recall that the ghost agency was recently discovered to have been allocated office space at the Federal Secretariat alongside a budget allocation of ₦1.3 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.

Speaking with journalists during a telephone interview, Chief Sule expressed deep worry over the development, describing the existence of a ghost agency as a stark reflection of the systemic corruption currently plaguing Nigeria.

She noted that the situation justifies public outrage and urged citizens to channel their anger productively by using their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to vote for a change in the country’s narrative.

The Urhobo-born philanthropist and global humanitarian promised that, if elected, she would prioritize legislative efforts to slash the high cost of governance.

She also pledged to sponsor people-centric bills aimed at bringing sustainable development and a complete economic overhaul to her constituency and the nation.

While advocating for leadership rooted in integrity, Chief Sule urged Nigerians to look toward leaders like Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as examples of the standard required for public office.

Commenting further on the fraudulent agency, she opined that the individual identified as Prince Adeniyi who was the Director General was merely a front.

She claimed he was used as a tool by powerful figures to access the funds and execute the corrupt agenda of his handlers.
