52 -Yr Old Man Murdered In Alisimie Community

A 52-year-old farmer named Mr. City Apai, also known as Shaba, was tragically killed while returning from his farm in Alisimie community, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The incident took place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Idumu eno Quarters in Alisimie Agbor.

According to reports, Mr. Apai had attended a community meeting before heading to his farm.

It was during his return trip that he was attacked and murdered. He was well-known in the community, and owned a shoe repair workshop along Baleke Street, Boji-Boji Agbor.

The news of Mr. Apai’s murder was revealed when a member of his family tried to contact him by phone, but the call was answered by one of the attackers. The assailant informed the family member that Mr. Apai had been killed because he did not have money to give them.

The incident has caused fear and anxiety among the community as the locals are now afraid to go to their farms during this crucial planting season.

Over the past three months, there have been four unfortunate incidents involving individuals in the same area.

On February 6th of this year, a man named Mr. Obiazi Ayidu, also a farmer, was tragically killed while working on his farmland. Just a few weeks later, another person, Mr. Vincent Oyibo Alizor, a security staff at a local bank, was abducted on the same farm road while transporting palm bunches from his land.

After paying a ransom, he was eventually released by his kidnappers.

Recently, a woman in the same community became a victim as well.

The woman whose identity is unknown at the time of filing this report, was said to be an indigene of Abavo, but farms in Alisimie.

she was attacked and left unconscious by her assailants while her husband was not with her.

Thankfully, her spouse arrived in time to rescue her just as her attackers fled the scene.

Sadly, Mr. City Apai, one of the victims, has passed away and his body is currently in the mortuary.

Investigations into these incidents are ongoing.

Despite our attempts, we were unable to obtain confirmation from the police at the time of reporting.
