ASABA — Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, wife of the late Anthony Chuks Obuh and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ika South House of Assembly constituency, has declared that the NDC will win all elections in Delta State come 2027.
Mrs. Tony-Obuh gave the assurance during the official opening of the campaign office for the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, in Asaba, Delta State.
She noted that the growing popularity of Mr. Peter Obi across Nigeria indicates that citizens were weary of the leadership ineptitude of the current administration.
Highlighting the political shift in her constituency, Mrs. Tony-Obuh stated that the people of Ika South were ready to vote for NDC candidates, emphasizing that it was time to retire those that have kept Nigeria in darkness
Expressing deep concern over the state of the economy, she urged the electorate to remain vigilant and protect their votes at the polls.
“NDC is winning all elections in Delta State, and the people will protect their votes,” she declared.
Mrs. Tony-Obuh further highlighted the widespread hardship faced by Nigerians, stating that existing economic policies must be revisited to improve the living standards of the people.
She identified widespread insecurity as another critical challenge, noting that rising food prices stem directly from shortages caused by farmers’ inability to access their fields.
“Farmers can no longer safely access their farms, leaving national food production inadequate to meet demands,” she explained.
Synchronizing her remark, Mrs. Tony-Obuh criticized the candidates presented by the ruling party, describing them as unsellable just as she claimed their emergence were imposition against the will of party members.
