AGBOR — Chief Fabian Ogu, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, has urged sons and daughters of Ika South Local Government Area to rally behind Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh in her bid for the Ika South State Constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 elections.
Chief Ogu made the call during a recent consultative visit to the members of St. Columba’s Catholic Church in Agbor.
He emphasized that the time was right to support Mrs. Tony-Obuh, who is contesting under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh is the widow of the late Sir Anthony Chuks Obuh, a prominent political figure and leading governorship aspirant in Delta State during the 2014/2015 election cycle.
Delta Decides gathered that her candidacy represents the broader aspirations of Agbor and the entire Ika South constituency for dedicated and community-focused representation.
Speaking at the gathering, Mr. Nkemchor Igumbor highlighted the significant contributions of the Obuh family to the development of Agbor.
He paid tribute to late Hon. Benjamin Obuh, elder brother to Sir Anthony Chuks Obuh, noting that he also devoted his life to the progress and welfare of Ika South.
Corroborating these sentiments, Mr. Aigbe David stated that the people of Abavo have already resolved to support Mrs. Tony-Obuh, describing her as one of their own who understands the needs of the community.
Similarly, the Okibali of Oki urged residents of Ika South to leverage her candidacy to break free from political godfatherism and secure effective representation for the constituency.
