In a significant move to stabilize the party structure, the National Working Committee (WC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly resolved the crisis rocking Delta State Congresses through the Congress appeal committee, with specifics to the leadership vacuum in the Delta North Senatorial District.

This platform gathered that Hon. Kerry Ekene, formerly the APC Chairman for Ika North East, has emerged as the new Delta North Zonal Chairman.

The decision follows a period of internal friction regarding the consensus list.

Recall that earlier reports suggested the emergence of Engr. Dan Ossai PDP Delta State organizing Secretary as Delta North Chairman and Sir Moses Iduh as the Delta State APC Deputy Chairman.

However, sources indicate that the NWC stepped in to enforce a 60/40 harmonization formula, designed to balance interests between long-standing party members and those who recently defected.

While the official list is still awaiting formal publication by state authorities, insiders suggest this resolution was a strategic effort to unify the party’s grassroots structure ahead of upcoming political cycles.

The harmonization process also acknowledges the influence of Senator Ned Nwoko as a key leader in the Delta North Senatorial District. According to reports

It was gathered though yet to be verified that Senator Nwoko has been granted leadership oversight over four Local Government Areas (LGAs) within the district.

While the specific names of all four LGAs allocated to Senator Ned Nwoko have not been fully authenticated, it has been confirmed that Ika North East is not among the areas selected by the Senator.
