Community Relief: Ogor Tony-Obuh Donates Transformer To DDPA Estate

The Ika South Constituency House of Assembly candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, has donated a brand-new electricity transformer to the residents of DDPA Estate.

Mrs. Tony-Obuh explained that her intervention followed reports regarding the estate’s prolonged power crisis.

Report indicates the community had been thrown into total darkness for over two months after their previous transformer broke down.

Highlighting the economic and social toll of the outage, she noted that living without electricity was not only incredibly difficult but also severely cripples local businesses.

The NDC candidate emphasized that restoring power to the estate was paramount, given the critical importance of electricity to daily life and security.

Receiving the item on behalf of the community, Barr. Joseph Ojobu expressed deep gratitude to Mrs. Tony-Obuh for her magnanimity.

He noted that the donation had brought immense joy to the residents and prayed God to grant her heart’s desires in all her endeavors.

Speaking with our reporter, a resident, Mr. Nduka, shared how worrisome the prolonged blackout had become, describing the timely donation as a massive relief to the entire estate

He prayed for God to strengthen the House of Assembly candidate, adding that her actions have inspired many within the community to support her candidacy.

Another resident, Mr. Philip Ebeide, described Mrs. Tony-Obuh has the true definition of a compassionate leader who is always responsive to the needs of the people.

He noted that her candidacy is rapidly becoming a shared project for the people of Ika South, reaffirming that her desire to help others is clearly innate.
