Members of Ika Men in BROTHERS ACROSS NIGERIA have identified with some select sick and less privileged persons in Ika Land by rendering them financial assistance.
The laudable exercise took place on Wed, Dec 25 and Thursday, December 26 at Ogbenmudein Model Secondary School, Agbor, where not less than thirty people were given cash gifts of thousands of naira to support their health care or welfare.
Some of the beneficiaries who were unable to come to the venue due to health challenges were visited at homes where their cash gifts were presented to them.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Comrade Gerald said that the group whose membership cut across not only Ika sons,but every tribe and ethnic group in Nigeria are out to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of their people in Ika Land.
He noted that the gesture was part of the programmes scheduled by the group to celebrate the Yuletide season with their people in Ika Land.
While extending their season’s greetings to the beneficiaries, the group urged them to remain faithful to Almighty God, as He is not going to abandon them just as they assured them of their continued support to the welfare of Ika people.
Some of the beneficiaries in separate remarks, thanked the group for identifying with them while praying to the Almighty God to bless their families and also crown all their endeavors with successes.
