A Senior Special Assistant on Community Development to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Engr. Emmanuel Mormah, has predicted sweeping victory for PDP in next month’s local government election.
Engr. Mormah, who is a member of PDP spoke when the local government campaign team visited Ward 9.
He said his conviction was based on the widespread acceptance of the party’s chairmanship candidate, Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, who he noted had become a rallying point for the PDP.
According to him, “almost all political stakeholders in Ika South are happy with the choice of Engr. Ehiwarior as the party’s chairmanship candidate. You can see the evidence from the rallies held at the various wards.”
He stated that the chairmanship candidate did well in previous public positions he occupied, and so deserves another chance to render service to the people of Ika South.
He expressed confidence that Engr. Ehiwarior will pilot the affairs of the council with a sense of dedication and responsibility.
” I have known Jerry for a long time. From when I handed over to him as President of National Association of Ika Students, NAIS. Since then I have watched him grow within the political space. He has proven to be a young man with the capacity to deliver. And the office of Chairman will not be different,” he stated.
