Tinubu Approves The Establishment Of Forest Guards To Combat Banditry

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of forest guards to combat terrorism and banditry across 1,129 designated forests.

The National Security Adviser (NSA) has been directed to oversee the immediate implementation, including the recruitment, training, and arming of the guards.

This initiative will be a collaborative security effort between the federal and state governments, aimed at flushing out terrorists and criminal gangs operating within these forest areas.
