Prophet Elisha Okenye, General Overseer of Wind of Change Deliverance Ministries, has released a series of far-reaching prophecies for the year 2026, outlining what he described as major political realignments, security developments, and socio-economic shifts in Nigeria.
Delivering the prophetic message during the church’s 2025 crossover night service, Prophet Elisa declared that 2026 would be “a year of the supernatural,” marked by intense political friction and spiritual manifestations across the nation.
He revealed that the leader of the indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would be given Presidential Pardon by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Central to the revelations is the growing political profile of Mr. Peter Obi, following reports of his move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a consensus figure, Prophet Elijah popularly known as Baba Fire disclosed that Mr. Obi’s popularity is set to rise significantly throughout 2026, positioning him as a formidable political force.
However, the prophecy was accompanied by a grave warning, as the Prophet claimed to have seen a planned assassination attempt against the former Anambra State governor, from which Obi would narrowly escape.
“I see God preserving him from danger,” the Prophet said, urging prayers for political leaders and national stability.
The Prophet further stated that a political party, widely interpreted to be the ADC would gain massive national acceptance, posing a serious challenge to the dominance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also foretold intense internal struggles within the APC, particularly battles among its leadership over strategic positions.
On national security and governance, Prophet Elijah predicted several significant developments, noting that insecurity would be greatly decimated
While speaking further during the Cross over night at the church auditorium in Agbor, Delta State of Nigeria, Baba fire maintain that a former State Governor would be sent to prison
He also reiterated the enforcement of State Policing, which he said would lead to a notable reduction in general insecurity nationwide
The Prophet also spoke on economic issues, forecasting a reduction in fuel prices, which he said would spark nationwide celebrations.
Conversely, he warned that new tax reforms would trigger widespread hardship and confusion, calling for urgent national prayers to avert severe consequences.
In addition, he foresaw mass protests across parts of the country, cautioning that Nigeria faces a “close threat” of conflict if prayers and restraint are not exercised.
Focusing on Delta State and surrounding regions, Prophet Elijah predicted:

Speaking on the Ika Politics, Prophet Elijah stated that there would be a fierce political battle over House of Representatives positions in Ikaland
He noted that there would be great Jubilation in Abavo land following the discovery of a major oil deposit
Further outlining his prophecies, the Delta Born Prophet raised a concerns about construction safety at the Uromi Junction, urging authorities and citizens to pray against potential tragedy in the area.
Popularly known as “Baba Fire,” Prophet Elisha urged Nigerians; particularly the Body of Christ, to remain united, prayerful, and vigilant in the face of looming political and social tensions.
“2026 will be a year of the supernatural. Men of the supernatural shall be distinguished,” he declared.
He concluded by calling for sustained prayers for peace, national unity, and divine intervention to avert war and instability in the country.
