NEW CBN GOVERNOR, NNPCL TOP OFFICIALS ACCUSED OF TRANSFERRING BILLIONS INT PRIVATE ACCOUNTS

The Nigerian Petroleum Corporation Limited and some Ministers of the Federal republic of Nigeria has been accused of transferring billions of public funds into private accounts.

This is coming at the heels of the ongoing scandal involving the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu.

Speaking on the allegations, Nigerian Popular activist, Deji Adeyanju insisted during his interview with Arise Television interview on Saturday, noting that he would not praise President Bola Tinubu over the suspension of Betta Edu

According to the activist, “all ministers of the federation transfer money into private accounts, as well as the NNPCL and the CBN.”

Adeyanju alleged that billions of dollars are transferred into private accounts without anybody monitoring on a daily basis, and called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to probe all ministries alongside Edu.

He maintained that if the economic and financial crime commission wants to work, that they should not just pick individuals but should cut across boards

Recall that a leaked memo indicted Edu of approving the payment of N585 million social intervention funds into the private account of a civil servant. Following the disclosure, President Bola Tinubu suspended her and ordered the EFCC to investigate the scandal.
