Mrs. Stella Isioma, widow of the late Mr. Isioma Ugbeje — a commercial motorcycle (Okada) rider from Ibiegwa Quarters, Ute-Okpu — has made a heartfelt appeal for financial assistance to enable her to raise her five children following the brutal murder of her husband by a native doctor in Owa Alidinma, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Narrating her ordeal, the grieving widow recounted that her husband had gone out on September 30, 2025, for his usual Okada business to provide for the family when tragedy struck. According to her, the news of his murder came as a devastating blow, leaving the family shattered and uncertain about their future.

In tears, Mrs. Isioma lamented the hardship she now faces as the sole caregiver.

> “My husband was everything to us. He worked tirelessly every day to put food on the table. Since his death, feeding the children and paying their school fees have become almost impossible. I am confused and helpless. His Okada business was our only source of livelihood. Now that he is gone, I don’t even know where to start. The children keep asking for their father, and I have no answers. I am appealing to kind-hearted individuals, the government, and well-meaning Nigerians to come to our aid,” she pleaded.

She further explained that during her last visit to the Delta State Police Command in Asaba, she was advised to return home and wait for further communication. However, she expressed concern over how long it might take to get justice for her husband’s gruesome murder.

Residents of the neighbourhood described the late Isioma as a hardworking and peaceful man who struggled daily to provide for his family. They expressed deep shock over his death and called on the police and relevant authorities to ensure that justice is served and the perpetrators brought to book.

It would be recalled that the late Isioma was the Okada rider who conveyed one Liberty Friday, a native of Akumazi, to Owa Alidinma to seek help from a herbalist. Both men were allegedly murdered and their bodies dumped in a soakaway pit within the herbalist’s premises. Their decomposing remains were discovered a month and two weeks later.
