A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC )in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Lucky Ehiwuogwu Monye, has expressed shock at the sudden demise of the party stalwart, multi- time Commissioner and former national law maker, Senator Peter Eloka Nwaoboshi, whom he tagged a worthy son of Anioma.
Nwaoboshi died in Abuja, on Friday.
In a statement he issued in reaction to the death of the former Senator in Abuja on Saturday, Monye, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monaco Ventures Nigeria Limited, said the Senator died at a time when his services were most needed.
Monye described the lawmaker as a vastly experienced politician who made great contributions to the growth of both the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of which he was a founding member and former state chairman.
Monye recalled that Nwaoboshi was a staunch advocate for power rotation among the diverse ethnic interests in the state and a democrat with a knack for effective grassroots mobilisation.
Particularly,he described Nwaoboshi as an unrepentant advocate for equity and fair play, and lamented that he died when his services, especially mentorship, were most needed.
He condoled with Igbuzo community from which the late law maker hailed, and his immediate family on what he described as irreparable loss.
Monye, however, advised his immediate family to take solace in the great life he led and the legacies of selflessness, inclusiveness and equity he lived by.
