A Nigerian clergyman, Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has made a bold prophecy stating that there will be no mosquitoes in Nigeria by the year 2033.
In a viral video, he declared that Nigeria will be completely free of mosquitoes—and by extension, malaria, which they transmit, by that time.
He further stated that manufacturers and sellers of mosquito repellents, such as coils, insecticides, and products like Fleet, will have to shut down operations because there will simply be no demand for them anymore.
The cleric emphasized the prediction by saying something along the lines of: “In 2033, there will be no mosquito in Nigeria.
Don’t believe it now just write it down and hold on to it. If you’re still alive then, you will see it happen.”
The claim has sparked a mix of amusement, skepticism, and debate online, with many questioning its feasibility given the persistent challenges of mosquito-borne diseases in tropical regions like Nigeria.
