The Convener of Nigeria Youth for Good Governance, Comrade Igbedion Macauley, has reaffirmed that former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, remains the undisputed political head of Delta State.

Speaking during a recent media parley with journalists in Port Harcourt, Comrade Macauley emphasized that despite the recent shift of political alliances, including the defection of some members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibori’s influence remains dominant and unwavering.

He described Chief Ibori as a man of impeccable political credentials, whose leadership and strategic contributions have shaped the political structure of Delta State over the years. “Ibori built the PDP in Delta State from the ground up and has continued to play a pivotal role in fostering unity within the party. His political sagacity and statesmanship are unparalleled,” Macauley asserted.

Underscoring the importance of continuity and strong leadership, Macauley urged all political stakeholders and the general public to rally behind Ibori for a more cohesive and prosperous political future in the state. “Delta State needs the guiding hand of an experienced leader like Ibori to steer the party and its followers towards meaningful development,” he added.

Comrade Macauley also commended the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), particularly the Chairman of its Governing Board, Barrister Chiedu Ebie, describing him as a product of visionary leadership. “Barr. Ebie is a testament to the legacy of Chief Ibori’s political mentorship. He represents the caliber of leadership that Delta State and the Niger Delta region need,” Macauley said.

Concluding his remarks, he described Ibori as “a political titan of our time, a good man who deserves every bit of respect and recognition for his enduring contributions to the political landscape.”
