DELTA STATE – As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Bemys Foundation, Quadrant Chief Dr. Mercy Eguriase Sule, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, love, and togetherness as the bedrock of national progress.
In a signed statement, Dr. Mercy emphasized that the essence of peace and national unity was the primary foundation for Nigeria’s growth.
She urged citizens to view one another as brothers and sisters, noting that harmony is the only “veritable means” by which the country can attract development across all sectors.
Maintaining the need for peaceful coexistence, the Urhobo-born philanthropist drew inspiration from the Holy Quran.
She noted that a disposition of peace and kindness reflects the true teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
”Eid-el-Fitr is a time for compassion, unity, and goodwill. It is not only a time for personal reflection but also for community solidarity. We can gain a lot when we make love our watchword in our daily interactions.”
Dr. Mercy encouraged Nigerians to use the seasonal period to: Renew bonds of love, promote communal solidarity, and support the less privileged within their neighborhoods.
Synchronizing her emphasis, Dr. Eguriase Sule maintained that the world would only be a better place if we demonstrate the love shown through this season of love
”I wish our Muslim brothers a heartfelt congratulations on this occasion of their Eid-el-Fitr celebration. May this celebration bring peace, joy, and prosperity. May it also strengthen communal bonds, encourage acts of kindness, and deepen our collective spirit of unity,” the statement concluded.
