Ehiwarior preaches love, unity as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr

Chairman, Ika South Local Government, Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, has joined other prominent Nigerians to extend warm congratulations to the Nigeria Muslims, particularly the Muslim community in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Jonathan Onwuka, Ehiwarior praised the Muslim faithful for their patience, devotion and charity demonstrated throughout the period of Ramadan, noting that “these values strengthen families, and communities; thereby boosting social harmony in not only Ika South but across Nigeria.”

The Chairman urged residents of the area to use the opportunity of the celebration to renew bonds of love, support the less- privileged, promote communal solidarity, and ensure peace and security are maintained during the two-day holiday and beyond.

He emphasized that, “Eid-el-Fitre is a time for compassion, unity, and goodwill,” and stressed that the occasion was not only a time for personal reflection, but also, for community solidarity. “We can gain a lot when we make love our watch word in our daily interactions,” he stated.

“On behalf of the good people of Ika South Local Government Area, I extend heartfelt congratulations to our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this festive season bring peace, joy, and prosperity. May it also strengthen family bonds, encourage acts of kindness, and deepen our collective spirit of unity,” the statement read.
