The Chairman of the Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESTMA), Chief Peter Idion, has extended heartfelt Sallah greetings to our Muslim brothers, emphasizing that national unity is a fundamental pillar for sustainable economic prosperity.
In his goodwill message, Chief Idion, a staunch supporter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a highly respected community leader, underscored the critical role of unity in fostering economic progress. He noted that divisions and discord only hinder development, while collective harmony paves the way for a thriving economy.
Speaking from his residence in Agbor, Chief Idion urged Deltans to rally behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s “MORE” agenda, which focuses on meaningful development, opportunities, and enhanced governance. He expressed confidence that a united front would help drive the governor’s vision for a more prosperous Delta State.
Reiterating the significance of peace and togetherness, Chief Idion stressed that economic advancement is intrinsically linked to national cohesion. “Without unity, economic progress remains a mirage. We must all work together as one people to build a stronger, more prosperous nation,” he stated.
“As we celebrate Sallah, we extend our warmest wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this season of joy and reflection bring renewed hope, love, and the true unity we need as a nation,” he concluded.
Chief Idion’s message aligns with growing calls for national reconciliation and collective efforts toward sustainable development. As Sallah festivities unfold, his words serve as a reminder that peace and unity remain indispensable for economic and social progress.
