DELTA TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MUST ALIGN WITH M.O.R.E AGENDA OF GOV. SHERIFF – Idion

The newly confirmed Chairman of the Delta State Traffic Management Authority, Chief Rtn. Peter Idion, stated that the authority’s operational framework must reflect the M.O.R.E. agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Chief Peter Idion made this declaration immediately after his confirmation as Chairman of the Delta State Traffic Management Authority by the Delta State House of Assembly on December 3, 2024.

In his remarks, he assured Deltans of enhanced driving safety during this Yuletide season and beyond.

Rtn. Peter Idion who is a well-known figure in Delta State and a prominent Chief of Agbor Kingdom, emphasized the importance of improving road safety and reducing fatalities on the state’s roads, just he called for increased efforts to ensure safer driving conditions for all road users.

The Chairman also expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and the immediate past Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, for their exemplary leadership claims, led to significant transformation in the state.

In his commitment to furthering the Governor’s M.O.R.E. agenda, Chief Idion highlighted that the primary purpose of the Traffic Management Authority was to– minimize road accidents, which he insisted must be fully realized.

He urged drivers and pedestrians alike to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure safety for all.

“I will do my utmost best and leverage my expertise in traffic management and control,” he assured.
