There are growing speculations and street talk that the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, may soon be making a move to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Rumors suggest that the Governor’s potential shift could be driven by a calculated strategy to strengthen his political alliances and secure greater federal backing, ultimately enhancing his prospects of winning a second term in office.

Though details surrounding this development remain scarce, reliable sources have hinted that Oborevwori’s increasing praise of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signals a growing affinity with the APC.

At a recent Urhobo Day celebration held at Urhobo House in Agbaro, the Governor notably stated that if President Tinubu fails, he too would fail, a remark that has raised eyebrows regarding his political trajectory.

In addition, it has been reported that the Governor has engaged in discussions with key APC leaders about his possible move to the party.

A source close to the Government House, who requested anonymity, shared, “The Governor may be on his way to APC if everything falls into place. He has been holding meetings with the top brass in APC, and I believe he’s just waiting for the President’s approval before making an official declaration.”

As the situation unfolds, all eyes remain on Oborevwori and his next political move, which could have significant implications for the upcoming political landscape in Delta State.
