Delta APC Leadership Targets ‘Cabal’ Influence, Orders E-Registration Meetings Into the Public Eye

The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially prohibited the use of private residences for stakeholders’ meetings related to the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise.

The directive, issued by the party’s state leadership, mandates that all such gatherings must take place strictly within approved public venues to ensure transparency and wider accessibility for members.

This new order reinforces an earlier instruction requiring Local Government Party Chairmen and Local Government Council Chairmen to organize stakeholders’ meetings. These sessions are intended to serve as the primary engine for driving membership mobilization and ensuring the success of the electronic registration process across the state.

In a statement released on Thursday, the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., emphasized that the move follows a specific order from the State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie.

“I have been directed by the State Chairman of our great Party… to inform all Local Government Party Chairmen that such stakeholders’ meetings must be convened strictly at designated public venues,” Onojeghuo stated.

The party leadership warned that any deviation from this directive would be viewed as a breach of protocol, stressing that the use of neutral, public spaces is essential for fostering inclusivity during the registration drive.
