In a statement released today, Tompolo lauded the late former President as a principled and patriotic Nigerian who made significant contributions to the nation’s development during his two terms in office, from 2015 to 2023.
Tompolo highlighted Buhari’s non-materialistic nature and his contentment, emphasizing that the former leader consistently sought individuals of character, goodwill, and vigor to serve the country. He cited this quality as the driving force behind the decision to engage Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in 2022. This partnership was formed at a critical time when Nigeria’s oil and gas infrastructure was severely impacted by widespread theft and vandalism.
“Today, the story is different as the country is progressing steadily towards attaining a peak in oil production,” Tompolo noted, crediting Buhari’s decisive action.
Tompolo conveyed that Nigerians would deeply miss the former President’s contributions to the unity and peace of the country. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the nation, Buhari’s family, and close associates, concluding with a prayer for the repose of the late President’s soul.
