Ambassador Ushi Israel, the Youth Representative, Technical Committee for the Anioma State Creation, has strongly denied Sahara Reporters’ claims that some committee members were stranded at the South East Public Hearing in Enugu State.
Ambassador Israel clarified that all accredited members were transported to Enugu from Senator Ned Nwoko’s Constituency Office situated at DBS Road in Asaba.
He stated that the individuals shown as stranded in the Sahara Reporters video were not part of their official delegation and had traveled to the hearing independently.
Speaking on Trend FM in Asaba, Ambassador Israel explained that these individuals arrived in their own buses but were denied access to the hearing hall due to a lack of accreditation.
He emphasized that as a youth representative of the technical committee, he was not obligated to inquire about their purpose for attending, especially since their identities and origins could not be verified as being from Anioma.
“I am talking about what transpired during the public hearing because I am a youth representative of the technical committee, which means I am part of the committee management,” Ambassador Israel stated.
He further assured the people of Anioma that the creation of the state was “a done deal,” citing widespread support and approval.
Ambassador Israel reiterated the commitment of the Delta North people and urged everyone to support the state’s creation to bring development closer to the grassroot and to bring to bear the dream of our Ancestors.
The Youth Representative of the technical committee emphasized that his focus was solely on clarifying the events at the public hearing.
He urged the Anioma people to remain committed to the course of the state’s creation, adding, “It is time to be committed to the course of the outcome of the public which was a huge success.”
