Mr. Igbedion Macaulay, a public affairs analyst and convener of the Nigerian Youth for Good Governance, has criticized the recent Delta State Social Media Summit held in Asaba, Delta State Nigeria
Macaulay called the decision to invite Blessing CEO as a guest speaker a significant “error,” stating that her lifestyle was a negative influence on young Nigerians.
Macaulay argued that the summit, which aimed to teach Deltans how to achieve legitimate success through social media, should have featured role models with proven success.
He contended that Blessing CEO lacks success in both her marital and business life.
“How can Blessing CEO be the role model Deltans should be looking at?” he questioned. “She couldn’t manage her marriage and was chased out… she is a negative influence on Nigerian ladies.”
He also accused her of promoting divorce and an “immoral lifestyle,” citing her public discussions of her sexual encounters and provocative dressing.
Macaulay used the opportunity to critique the state’s official social media handlers, claiming they are failing to attract investors by not showcasing Delta State’s business potential effectively.
“Honestly, we need a total overhaul of our mindsets,” Macaulay said, arguing that a “total failure” was brought in to speak to the youth because of a “poor mindset.
