A New Era of Leadership for the Ika People’s Congress

2

Dear Esteemed Members of the Ika People’s Congress (IPC),

My name is Agboje Egbonimali Shadrack. I am a dedicated son of Ika land. I am seeking your support to serve as the next Exco Chairman of the Ika People’s Congress, and I do so with a deep sense of commitment and responsibility.

The IPC was founded on a noble and visionary purpose: to unify our people and forge a strong, collective voice that holds the government accountable and safeguards the interests of Ndi Ika. This legacy is not only worth preserving—it demands bold leadership, renewed energy, and a clear, actionable direction.

If given the privilege to lead, I will pursue a transformative agenda built on three foundational pillars: amplifying our collective voice, empowering our people, and driving visible, measurable development.

A Vision for Growth and Impact

1. Amplifying Our Voice at State and National Levels

We will reposition the IPC as a credible and influential platform that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with prominent ethnic organizations such as the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) and the Isoko Development Union (IDU). Our goal is to ensure that the hopes, needs, and aspirations of Ndi Ika are not just heard, but respected and acted upon in every seat of power.

2. Facilitating Tangible Opportunities and Development

Under my leadership, the IPC will champion meaningful, people-focused initiatives:

● Social Welfare Advocacy: We will actively pursue government grants, relief programs, and slots in government initiatives to support our widows and the most vulnerable members of our community.

● Youth Empowerment: We will publicize all available job opportunities and scholarships. We will also work tirelessly to help our youths secure admissions into higher education institutions within our dear State.

● Addressing Public Grievances: The IPC will serve as a strong and effective channel to highlight and escalate community challenges, ensuring swift and appropriate responses from relevant authorities.

● Action on Abandoned Projects: A dedicated committee will be created to identify and document abandoned projects across Ika land. This committee will engage with all stakeholders—including original contractors and government agencies—to revive and complete these crucial projects.

3. A Proven Track Record of Action

As the Convener of Delta Decides, I have demonstrated the capacity to turn advocacy into tangible outcomes. A notable example is my successful intervention to secure government approval for the construction of a school in Okwuikorogu, Okpe Local Government Area. This is the kind of proactive, results-oriented leadership I intend to bring to the IPC.

My leadership style will be transparent, inclusive, and people-centered. Committees will be created to oversee key initiatives, ensuring that decisions reflect the collective will of this Congress. No one will be left behind.

In Closing

I am confident that together, we can raise the IPC to a new level of relevance, effectiveness, and pride. Let us amplify our voice, deepen our unity, and unlock the full potential of Ika land.

Thank you for considering my aspiration to serve.

With sincere respect,

Agboje Shadrack

Aspirant, Exco Chairman, Ika People’s Congress (IPC)
