There is no doubt that leadership is measured by the level of impact one is able to make. This is because, a good leader sees beyond his title but sees every title as a responsibility, sacrifice and task to change the World of those living around them

They are great teachers who are on their journey to change narratives, and make people see the beauty of their positions and existence

This is one major factor that has distinguished the Star Prince, and philanthropist, Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, from others and put him in a class of his own.

Following the continuous attacks on our security agencies, Civil Rights Council of Nigeria, has urged Nigerians and all concerned to respect our security agencies and refrain from unwarranted attacks against them

The council while making the admonition, recently in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, Nigeria condemned in totality, the several attacks on the security operatives, especially the Nigeria Police Force, revealing that it was wrong and highly disappointing for any Nigerian to kill their Morales, revealing was a major reason why they had not made tremendous impact in combating the challenges of crimes in the country

The council’s Asaba unit coordinator, comrade Joy Edigbine during a media parley that, stated that the attacks on our security operatives were a wrong approach to kill their morales , just as she urged Nigerians to work in ensuring, they are able to do their jobs effectively

Speaking further, the urhobo born activist, insisted that, the security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police were also products of bad leadership, stating that it was wrong for people to feel they were the problem the delayed system

She emphasized that, they were occupying a pivotal roles in the society, and the reason why there is relative peace and sanity

Comrade Joy Edigbine who is fondly called Small Pepper, added that, our security operatives should be respected more as well as accorded priorities.

“We must know that every security operative is important in our society. They protect us and must be seen as very important persons.” She added

EXCESSES OF SOME HAUSA / FULANI PEOPLE LIVING IN ASABA SHOULD BE CHECKMATED ~ CRC

Civil Rights Council of Nigeria, a human Rights organization has urged the Delta State Government to checkmate the violent tendencies of some Hausa people living in the metropolis of Delta State Nigeria

The council who made the call through her unit coordinator, comrade Joy Edigbine revealed that the excesses of some hausa people who are living in Asaba was a threat to the collective gains of the citizens

Comrade Joy Edigbine who is fondly called Small Pepper, emphasized that while the call is made, that it was unreasonable to allow the uncultured tendencies of these person’s, claiming could result to chaos

Speaking on the recently outburst of their tendencies which led to untimely deaths of residents in Asaba, comrade Small Pepper disclosed that, the group intention was not to intimidate them but to put them on check and live peacefully with other well meaning tribes living in the State

She reiterated the need to moderate their activities which could lead to unrest and prevent investors for coming to Asaba to invest and get the people of Delta State employed and empowered

Adding to the council’s claim, the outspoken activist insisted that the council was not against hausa living in Asaba but was curious about their disposition and attitude towards communal living

Comrade Joy Edigbine while making the council’s claim, sighted the attack on the old the Secretariat just as she calls on people of Delta to join in building the State

UKUAMA CRISIS: TINUBU, SHERIFF SHOULD WORK TO RESTORE PEACE ~ CRC

Civil Rights Council, a human Rights organization has urged the federal government and the Delta State Government to ensure that peace and harmony is restored to Okuama, the community where Soldiers were killed while they were on a peacekeeping mission

Speaking to journalists, the Asaba unit coordinator comrade Joy Edigbine emphasized that the community leaders and local government should always strive to keep troubling situations calmly before they are escalated

She insisted that one of the major role of community leaders was to ensure crisis are managed, taking example from other communities where crisis has been managed effectively

Comrade Joy Edigbine who is fondly called Small Pepper, reiterated the need for a more friendly atmosphere, just as she called on President Tinubu to make sure soldiers are managed claimly, claiming it’s the best bet to address the primary cause of the fight between Okuama and Okoloba community

Sending out their condolence message, comrade Small Pepper admonished leaders at all levels to always show commitment to youth development and emancipation while also urging the youths to always desist from violence in the course of their daily interactions

“ While we condemn the killings of soldiers and consoles their families, we are also urging the government to always show proactive tendencies in preventing further occurrences.” She added

JUBILATION AS BILL PROTECTING  PEOPLE LIVING DISABILITIES PASSED BY DELTA ASSEMBLY

What seems to be challenge for people living with disabilities in Delta State has been resolved as a Bill that protect and prohibit the discrimination against people living with disabilities has been passed by the Delta State house of Assembly

The Bill which has the capacity to change lives, create and sustain livelihood, enhance access, promote inclusion and eliminate discrimination of people living with disabilities has been passed by the Delta State house of Assemble

Recall that this is the second private member Bill that has been passed, presented and sponsored by Marilyn Okowa Daramola, the Ika North East first female youth representative in the Delta State House of Assembly.

NIGERIANS ARE DYING OF HARDSHIP ~ CRC Claims ****Protest Economic Hardship, Food Scarcity

Civil Rights Council of Nigeria, has protested against the rising cost of food items and other essential commodities in the country

The council during their protest in Asaba, Delta State of Nigeria noted that the cost of living was too high maintaining was as a result of bad leadership and improper planning

Speaking with journalist during the protest, comrade Joy Edigbine emphasized that the Federal government was lacking in leadership led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and those in the tranches of leadership

She reiterated the economic woes was in a high heavens, just as she urged the President and his team to end the economic downturn in the country

” We are angry and are calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to save the millions of Nigerians who are starving to death due to poor policy and leadership deficit.”

Adding also was Comrade Comrade Francis Onwuegbunem who noted that the hardship levitating round the citizens was worrisome, just as he appealed to the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to restore the economy to its old glory and improve the standards of living of the Nigerian people

Synchronizing their claim, comrade Christy Atulegwu, emphasized that the Nigerian people deserves better welfare from the government just as she urged the Federal government to put a mechanism in place to checkmate outrageous pricing

” We will keep glamouring for good leadership and accountability from our elected leaders. We voted for them and must demand accountability from them. We will not rest until the needful is done. We will do  everything to help Savage the economic woes orchestrated by our so-called leaders we voted in office.” She added

 

CIVIL RIGHTS COUNCIL WELCOMES NEW CP *****Promises Partnership To Curb Insecurity In Delta

Following the security challenges prevailing the State and Nigeria at large, Civil Rights Council, Asaba Unit of Delta State,Nigeria has promised to work closely with security operatives to curb menace

This was made known in a meeting which took place on the 7th of March 2024 at the Delta State Police Command, involving the commissioner of Police, Police Public Relations Officer, and other top ranking member of the Nigeria Police force

Speaking during the meeting, the unit coordinator comrade Joy Edigbine, emphasized that the council was ready to partner with all relevant security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police Force to help strengthen the fight against insecurity ravaging the country

She noted that, the driver of any economy was security, maintaining was a major factor of  the inflow of investors, as well as the production of food and other essential commodities

Comrade Joy Edigbine who is fondly called Small Pepper, and the Chief Executive Officer of JEEP Film Academy, insisted that the rising cost of food items could be linked to insecurity, disclosing that a lot of farmers had been chased out of their farms by hoodlums just as she calls on other Civil society organizations to help the security operatives to syndicate their actions

” When people say that the prices of food and other commodities are hitting the roof, it is simply because of insecurity. A lot of farmers have been sacked from their farms because of kidnapping and security challenges. That is why we are here to thank the Nigeria Police Force and to charge them to do more.”

Responding, the Commissioner of Police, Abanwonda S. Olufemi, thanked the council for finding time to fraternize with the Police, just as he urged them to always sensitize the masses on their rights, and their continued Partnership
